Meme Squared (m²)

Meme Squared (m²) is an independent social science research and technology organization committed to democratic values and to strengthening societal trust in the Age of AI.Its mission integrates two aims. First, m² conducts rigorous, interdisciplinary inquiry into the interaction between technology, post-truth dynamics, digital rhetoric, and cultural evolution, with attention to social cohesion, institutional legitimacy, and democratic governance. This research examines how memes, influence operations, and frontier technologies reshape communication, collective meaning-making, and public authority.Second, m² challenges surveillance-driven platform business models by combining sociological theory, media ecology, and surveillance studies with applied technical analysis. This work supports social movements, advances accountability in technology design and deployment, and strengthens digital literacy across generations so communities preserve rights and navigate technological transformation.
